Route outbound voice where it needs to go

Voice termination is the outbound side of the voice infrastructure.

A user, PBX or application initiates a call. That traffic then needs to reach the destination network responsible for completing it.

Althicom provides the carrier layer between your environment and those destinations.

Free and non-binding. You talk to someone technical, not a sales script.

From your platform to the destination network

Your service may begin in a hosted PBX, multi-tenant platform, contact-centre application or another voice environment.

Termination connects the outbound traffic from that environment to public telephone networks and other destination networks.

The customer-facing platform can remain yours while the carrier relationships underneath are handled as part of the Althicom service.

Routing by destination

Not every destination behaves the same way.

Calls may need to reach different countries, networks and number types, each with its own technical and commercial characteristics.

The routing architecture should therefore reflect the destinations and traffic profile involved rather than assume one universal path is appropriate for every call.

Interconnection

Voice providers and platforms need a defined technical interconnection into the carrier environment.

Depending on the architecture, that may involve SIP connectivity, authentication, IP-based controls, routing rules and other technical parameters agreed during implementation.

The goal is a connection that fits into the platform you already operate.

Direct routes and downstream networks

Outbound voice ultimately depends on the networks responsible for completing the call.

The route between your platform and those destinations influences quality, reliability and commercial performance.

We design termination around the markets and use cases involved rather than sell every destination as if it were identical.

Quality matters beyond the endpoint

A good headset cannot fix a poor route.

Call quality is influenced by the source environment, network conditions, interconnection and destination network. The technical path underneath therefore matters as much as the application the user sees.

  • Reseller and platform use

A reseller may provide the PBX, customer portal, support and commercial proposition while using Althicom for the outbound carrier layer.

  • International traffic

International termination adds another layer of variation.

  • Strategic supplier relationships

A wholesale voice service depends on the relationships and technical paths underneath it.

Monitoring and operational control

Outbound traffic should not be treated as an unmonitored pipe.

Usage patterns, route behaviour, access control and operational alerts can matter for quality, fraud prevention and service management.

Fraud prevention

Unauthorised voice traffic can create both operational and financial risk.

Credentials, network access, route permissions and unusual traffic behaviour therefore need to be considered as part of the architecture.

When termination is the right layer

If you already operate the customer-facing platform and need the carrier route for outbound calling, termination is the relevant layer.
